The university, established by His Highness Sheikh Dr.
Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, focuses on the
application of knowledge to improve the human and
material resources of society, while preserving the
natural heritage of the UAE and the Islamic and Arab
world.
The university is an independent nonprofit academic
institution. Arabic is the medium of instruction in
the Faculties of Sharia, Islamic Studies, Humanities
and Social Studies, while English is the medium of
instruction for the Faculties of Economics,
Management, Engineering and Applied Sciences.
The university is open for all UAE nationals and
expatriates.
