Adjacent to Souk Al Arsah, facing Hisn Avenue is the Maritime Museum where one can see the importance  of the traditional trades of fishing, trading and pearl diving and the relationship of each to the construction of the various sea faring crafts.

Dhows (wooden boats), local fish traps and an original Shashah (traditional fishing boat) made from the mid rib of the date palm frond are displayed in the museum's courtyard.
